How to learn new words


1. Use a dictionary. Do you know these words?


phone, computer, knife, bread, fridge
keyboard, mouse, notebook, word, password


2. Read the definitions. Can you match the new words with their meaning?


an electrical kitchen equipment, used for keeping food cool
a common food made from flour
an object for cutting bread
an electronic equipment that you use for speaking to someone in another place
a machine that stores information in electronic form

a small computer that you can carry with you
a panel of keys
a device that is used to move a cursor on the computer screen
a group of letters
a secret group of letters or numbers


3. Write your own sentences. Try to use the new words in sentences.
